Evaluation Producer
The role will lead on the delivery and development of the LBoC evaluation strategy, ensuring that learning from the evaluation can inform decisions over the course of the year, that it values the voices of people taking part, and that reporting requirements are met.

Salary: 38,000 per annum (pro rata) depending on experience
Contract Type: 0.5 FTE, Fixed Term to June 2028.
We are seeking a creative and diligent evaluation producer to join the team delivering London Borough of Culture Haringey 2027. Working closely with the data officer and the programme team you will ensure that we gather the information we need at the right time to inform decisions, to fulfil reporting requirements, and to make the most of the opportunity the year offers to the people of Haringey to demonstrate the impact culture can make.
You will implement and develop the evaluation strategy, oversee monitoring, and make sense of information from different sources in order to tell the story of Haringey’s LBoC year and its impact. Your work will provide the evidence base for decisions during the year, and the development of the year’s legacy.
You will facilitate conversations, support, advise and train grantholders and stewards/volunteers, coordinate and support Story Collectors, procure and manage any externally commissioned evaluation work, update and oversee surveys (supported by the data officer), write reports and work with the Comms and Archive teams to tell the story of the year. You provide quarterly reports to funders and respond to developing agendas and evidence needs.
Key responsibilities
Monitoring
- Oversee surveys of audiences, participants and other stakeholders to meet reporting and data collection needs. This includes drafting and updating surveys as required, making sure surveys are appropriate and proportionate, taking into consideration the people completing them, training partners to collect data from their own events, and directly taking part in data collection where necessary.
- Supervise Data Officer’s collation and analysis of surveys and reports.
- Provide up-to-date figures for periodic reporting to stakeholders and funders, including working with The Audience Agency (GLA evaluation supplier for LBoC).
- Work with partners to develop appropriate creative data collection plans for their events.
- Liaise with Business Intelligence Unit and other key partners to ensure appropriate impact indicators are collected and analysed.
Evaluation
- Ensure that all evaluation activity is people-centred, robust, and purposeful.
- Identify and collate qualitative and quantitative information from a wide range of sources to assess whether assumptions are correct, and projects are achieving the intended impact, centring the people most affected.
- Working with the delivery team, recruit, arrange training, and manage community Story Collectors, implementing the Storytelling Evaluation Method.
- Where necessary, recruit and manage specialist contractors to deliver evaluations of specific projects or themes, or case studies.
Learning
- Develop appropriate participatory research and methods to ensure the impact of London Borough of Culture Haringey 2027 is fully explored, responding to emerging needs and agendas.
- Facilitate wash-up and learning conversations with partners and participants throughout the delivery period.
- Provide training and advice for grantholders in LBoC evaluation standards.
- With the Comms team, ensure the final report is disseminated effectively, including delivering a public event in Summer 2028.
Reporting
- Draft quarterly reports to funders and stakeholders.
- Work with Comms team and Borough Archivist to ensure the story of the year is told and preserved.
- Ensure reporting requirements are met for any and all funders, including drafting and submitting final reports.
- Support the drafting and publication of an accessible, compelling and useful final report.
Management
- Line manage 0.5 FTE Data Officer.
- Recruit, train and supervise casual Data Collectors for major events.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Experience of managing large-scale programme evaluation.
- Experience of working with, and preparing reports to, multiple stakeholders and funders.
- Experience of participatory evaluation methods.
- Experience of drafting and managing surveys.
- Experience of training and/or supporting volunteers or community participants.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a range of contexts, from engaging and effective report writing, to chatting with the public, to providing the most useful information to senior stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience working within local government, community engagement, arts or cultural sectors.
- Experience working with diverse communities and participatory programmes.
- Experience of data management and responsibilities as a data controller.
- Experience of Most Significant Change or Storytelling Evaluation methods.
- Experience of managing busy events.
